Welcome Future Product Leader 👋

If you’re reading this, I’m confident that you’ve learned two things by now.

1) It’s not easy to get into Product Management

2) There is no clear path into a Product Manager role

I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone and in fact these two challenges are the foundation of this website.

It took me three years to land an internal role at an organization that I’ve worked at for over 17 years!

I did what all of the “gurus” tell you to do. I took on stretch assignments, networked with Product Managers, created actual products but NOTHING SEEMED TO WORK!

To say that I was discouraged is an understatement.

There were many occasions where I asked myself “IS IT ME?” and “SHOULD I JUST GIVE UP?“.

But It wasn’t me and I sure as heck wasn’t going to quit. And eventually, in September of 2020 I got my shot.

Now my goal has shifted away from getting into Product Management and into creating an artifact that can be shared with “the others“, something of value that I can share with you.

I’m not some guru who has all of the answers.

I’m actually the opposite. I’m new, and full of questions.

Questions that I’ve asked, and asked, and asked to incredible Product Leaders at well known organizations like LinkedIn, Microsoft and Amazon as well as little known Startups, Financial Firms, and PM’s turned Founder.

I’ve talked to PM’s with MBA’s and others with High School Diplomas.

I’ve talked to PM’s who landed a role straight out of college, and others who lived incredible lives full of amazing (and unrelated) experiences and the PM role is a “second act”.

I’ve had amazing conversations. All of which, I’m sharing with you in both full interview form as well as in two to four minute easily digestible chunks of information.

The best way to describe what I am building is somewhere between Netflix and a Library.

Easily accessible answers, available in video, audio, and written format.

Anyways, sign up for the Product Leader Newsletter above and you’ll be the first to know when the content is ready

I’m also on LinkedIn or Twitter and would love to carry the conversation to either of the platforms.
